User feedback comes from all directions once your SaaS product is in production. How can you keep your teams focused on validating suggested improvements before they make it to the product backlog? The following principles keep product and engineering teams focused on the goals of the #SaaS product. First, clearly separate the feedback into three general buckets: production issues, usability improvements, and feature requests. Feature requests are then scored based on these three guiding principles:

  1. Reduce Churn
  2. Adds (tremendous) value that could increase subscription price
  3. Expands the SAM within your TAM.
